Here is a video filmed with a time-lapse video that shows how alive reefs really are. This video took 9 months to film, and it is a great example of why you don’t want to stand on coral when you are out snorkeling. Also, keep in mind that sunscreens worn in the water are known to cause Coral Bleaching which is essentially the reef dying. So, either wear a rash guard or reef safe sunscreen.
